The Fred Basket: Food Pantry & Community
We're open Third Saturdays of each month from 10-12pm.
In addition, we will have weekly hours.
Wednesdays from 12:30-4:30pm
Guests may only receive one helping a month.
These new hours hope to serve those who cannot attend on Saturdays.
Note: While our church runs the food pantry, we do not and never will evangelize during food pantry. We do not care who or what you worship or if you worship at all. Not only does our partnership with FeedMore WNY make it illegal to make you feel like you need to come to church to receive food, we wouldn't do that based on our own principals. We're Christian, sure! But we affirm and do not ridicule other religions, and we make it a point to educate ourselves about other cultures and religions. We have a saying "we're not that church..." So, please all are welcome and affirmed, and we mean it.
If you need immediate assistance with food, please call us at 716-679-1501
To receive food from FFP, you only need to be a resident of 14063. No ID is required nor is proof of need. We general take the following information: household size, address, name
Would you like to donate? You can drop food off 24/7 in our open vestibule. Leave us a note with your name and contact information or you're welcome to leave food anonymously. If you have perishable or refrigerated foods to donate, please contact us to schedule a delivery time.
You may also send a tax-deductible donation via check to 219 Central Ave. Fredonia, NY 14063. Make it out to First Presbyterian Church, with a note that it is for the food pantry.
Or visit our GIVE page to donate via PayPal.
About Us The Food Pantry is housed and run by Fredonia Presbyterian, though we do have volunteers and support from around town with no other affiliation to the church. We rely on donations from our members, generous community neighbors, Chautauqua County Rural Ministry, and Nourish NY.
We feed around 60 families each month.
What We Give Each family receives one, two, or three bags of non-perishable food, according to their family size. During warmer months, we supplement monthly food bags with produce grown from our own Giving Garden.
